The Junior Choir travelled on the tube to the Royal Albert Hall to take part. CSG was also represented by several musicians playing in Camden ensembles. After the afternoon rehearsals, students had a chance to relax in Hyde Park, followed by the spectacular performance at the Royal Albert Hall, which was completely packed! The concert was a huge success, and a wonderful musical experience for all involved. Congratulations to all!

Therapy Dogs Visit CSG

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Fiona and her two therapy dogs, Freddie and Belle, to school.

Fiona spoke to a group of year 8 and 10 students about her work at Grass Roots, an equine-assisted learning centre, and her path to working with animals. Afterwards, we ventured outside and Freddie and Belle worked through some puzzles with assistance from the students. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time with Fiona, Freddie and Belle and hope to have them back again!

I thought the talk was really inspiring. It was amazing to learn how she uses different animals to support people with disabilities and make a real difference in their lives. The two dogs she brought were so friendly, calm, and well-trained - it was an amazing experience overall which I really enjoyed! - Agatha 8C

The therapy dog demonstration was an exciting experience with two friendly and intelligent dogs. We got to create puzzles with them and stroke them endlessly. It was lots of fun and I would recommend the experience to anyone (except if you're allergic to dogs). - Leonie 10M

Parent Governor Vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a Parent Governor at our school. Parent Governors are elected by the parents and carers of pupils and serve a four-year term. They play an important role in supporting the school’s leadership and in helping to monitor its progress through regular meetings.

Full Governing Body meetings take place at 5:30pm—once per term during the Autumn, and twice per term in both the Spring and Summer. In addition, Governors are expected to join at least one of two committees, which meet virtually at 8:00am.

At CSG, we are committed to building a diverse and representative Governing Body. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented communities, especially parents from Bengali and Somali backgrounds.

To learn more about the role and who is eligible to stand, please visit the ‘Governors’ section of our school website, where you can also download the nomination form.

Nomination forms must be signed by the nominee, a proposer, and a seconder.

For further information, feel free to contact Duska Cutler, our Clerk to the Governors, at dcutler@csg.school.
